Con una fotocamera reflex appesa al collo, la studentessa di fotografia Nao va in giro cercando soggetti di vita vissuta da ritrarre. Intorno a lei altri studenti e amici, la simpatica Sayo, il chiacchierone Tada, il tormentato Yamada. Ma nessuno sembra avere la stoffa e la determinazione di Nao. Dopo il diploma seguiranno le proprie strade riunendosi quattro anni dopo e scoprendo che Yamada è scomparso.
A reflex camera slung around her neck, photography student Nao wanders around looking for real-life subjects to photograph. She's surrounded by other students and friends - sociable Sayo, chatty Tada and tormented Yamada - but none of them seem to share Nao's talent and determination. After graduation, they go their separate ways, reuniting four years later to discover that Yamada has disappeared.
